The Downbeat 6.28.09

Greetings from a very hot Palestine, Texas.  It’s like 104 degrees outside right now, but in church God brought a refreshing wind to us.  As always this is a part of Sunday Setlists over at Fred’s site, www.fredmckinnon.com Evangelistic Temple now has a twitter account, www.twitter.com/etpalestine so follow them and you’ll see more what goes on in our church.

Here is the setlist:

Walk In:  Burn For You -Fee

This is probably the last week we do this one for a while since we have done it for the last 3 weeks in a row.  But when it fits the message, you go with it.

God You Reign – Lincoln Brewster

Lift High – Fee

Prayer/Offertory

I Will Rise/Jesus Messiah (Yes, a medley!)- Chris Tomlin

Message: Dr. Barry Roberts

Altar:

Rescue – Jared Anderson

This is the last Sunday that our main worship team is going to play until August.  The C-Team, (which is a misnomer) they just happen to be the last team put together, is taking over July.  The main team has been non-stop for the last 6 years just about every Sunday.  So the break is much needed.  We should come back with an intense focus and drive to see our God’s will be done in a mighty way.  We aren’t staying idle with music though.  July 7th we go to the studio to record. Pray for us.

See ya soon,

BRAD

Band:

Darren – Vocals

Cavin – Bass

Drew – Percussion

Danna – Keys

Cody – Drums

Johnie – Acoustic

Terry – Acoustic

Brad – Electric

  1. I was at the 10:45 a.m. service and absolutely loved the music. Perfect for Bro. Barry’s message. I’m thrilled to read above that you guys are going to record. I’ll be watching and waiting for the CD. Keep up the Lord’s work!

  2. I will Rise and Jesus Messiah as a medley. The tempos are so different on these two. How did that work out? Just curious.
