The Downbeat 8.2.2009

We’re back!!

The main team is back in the saddle again.  We each enjoyed our month off, but it felt so good to be worshipping The Creator with an instrument again this morning.  Kudos go out to the C team for covering for us in our stead.

We had  a marvelous time in the name of our Lord today.  People are thirsty for His presence and power to transform our lives and it is always a beautiful thing to watch Him work.

Here’s the set list from today:

Walk in:

You Reign – MercyMe

Announcements

Blessed Be Your Name – Matt Redman

Bless His Name – Jeremy Riddle

This is a new one that we introduced today.  It was received well by the congregation and it’s easy to worship with as well.

Prayer/Offertory

Sweetly Broken – Jeremy Riddle

We did our own version of this one with a twist of Journey’s “Faithfully” at the end.  It was the first time we tried to do the Journey thing live.  It ended up pretty well.  Go here to hear our version of it:
